WHAT IS THE NJO?
The New Jersey Open launched in 2006 as an amateur racquetball tournament in the state, and was taken over by the current organizers in 2012. At that time, the NJO was transformed into a professional racquetball event with more than 200+ participants in divisions spanning all levels of competition and showcasing some of the best racquetball athletes in the world. Over the course of the last 6 years, the NJO has played host to every major professional the sport has to offer on both the men's and women's pro tours, and is highest attended event in the region.

What is racquetball?
Racquetball is a sport played by more than 2 million players nationwide. Invented in 1950 by Joe Sobek, the sport has grown internationally, and is played across 20+ countries by athletes of all ages. Racquetball is considered a cross training tool for many people, as it is one of the most cardio intensive sports in the world. A lifetime sport, racquetball is great for families, friends, and is a community based sport that brings people together in recreational, league, and tournament formats.
